Reface Doors for Direct Vent Gas Fireplaces
While a traditional fireplace provides an open burning chamber that vents through a chimney, a direct vent fireplace does not require a chimney and can vent horizontally out a sidewall or vertically to the roof. The front glass enclosure is porous, allowing radiant heat to pass into the room. As a result, the glass face can become extremely hot. As a safety feature, refaces incorporates a mesh panel that covers the glass to prevent burning, but still allows the heat to pass through. Refaces magnetically attach to Direct Vent Gas fireplaces and include standard or custom louvers that cover fans or vents while still allowing air flow to keep the fireplace cool.
